World currency reserves shrink by $1 trillion in record drawdown

Sales of CNG-powered vehicles take a hit as global natural gas prices soar

The industry target for CNG vehicles has reduced to 5,00,000-5,50,000 units in the year ending March 2023, about 25-30% lower compared with the estimate of 7,00,000-7,50,000 at the beginning of the fiscal year. About 2,61,000 units of CNG passenger vehicles were sold in India last fiscal year.

Volvo plans to expand certified used-car business pan-India by early 2024

Government to replace up to 30,000 old buses in electrification drive

Acharya said while this asset-light model has made it possible for ailing STUs to deploy affordably and at scale, challenges do remain regarding availability of adequate power supply at depots for charging buses proposed for induction. State governments would have to invest in upgrading grids to ensure adequate load for charging electric vehicles.

Oil prices at seven-month low but no change in petrol, diesel prices in India

International benchmark Brent crude fell below $90 per barrel last week for the first time since early February as recession fears weigh on demand.
