Hella India Lighting Limited was established in the year 1959 and has its headquarters in Gurgaon. It is a subsidiary of Hella Holding International GMBH. Their group develops and manufactures lighting technology and electronic components and systems for the automotive industry and also has one of the largest retail organizations for automotive parts, accessories, diagnostics, and services within Europe. The company is one of the top 40 automotive suppliers in the world and one of the 100 largest German industrial companies. They engage in the manufacture and sale of automotive components in India and internationally. Their product portfolio includes modules, LED tail and plough lamps, LED products, fog lamps, rocker switches, interior and combination head lamps, work and decorative lamps, end-outline maker lamps, driving and fog products, and ITL product headlamps. Their products also comprises of disc and trumpet horns, two wheeler horns, head lamps for CV, rally lights, brake pads, AC parts, test equipment, high performance horns, daytime running lights, relay systems, halogen bulbs, spark plugs, wiper blades, coolants, and batteries. They offer utomotive electronics solution in the fields of body electronics, energy management, steering systems, horns, sensors and actuators to the passenger and commercial vehicle segments. It has its presence across major automobile hubs in India with four locations- headquarter at Gurgaon, a manufacturing location in Dhankot and a Global Electronics Development Centre in Pune, Global Lighting Engineering Centre in Chennai. HIA employs more than 1200 people. Their major clients include Maruti Suzuki, Ford, Renault Nissan, Lumax, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Honda, General Motors etc.,

China’s Dao EV Tech to produce 2Ws in India, plans export to America, Europe

The Chinese EV maker, formed by a group of investors from China, India and USA, opened bookings for its electric scooters in India on Thursday. Deliveries are scheduled for mid-January. After subsidies the scooter will cost INR 86,000 . The company plans to make India an export base and it will launch at least two new models every year, the company said.

India’s oil demand to rise 50% by 2030 against global expansion of 7%: Report

India’s oil consumption is forecast to rise from 4.8 million barrels per day (mbd) in 2019 to 7.2 mbd in 2030 and 9.2 mbd in 2050, as per the IEA’s key scenario based on stated policies. The projection shows the centrality of oil in the Indian economy over the next three decades and runs counter to BP’s forecast last year that estimated the country’s oil demand to peak in 2025.
