Imperial Auto Industries Limited is the largest homogenous manufacturer of the fluid transmission products in India. It is headquartered in Faridabad with a group turnover of above US $200 million. Established in the year 1969, it has eight dedicated manufacturing plants. The companies are working under the guidance of MD & Chairman Mr S.B. Sardana & Mr Jagjit Singh. With the motto to provide world class products and services, they focus on the concern for the ambience and safety of their workmen and products. IAI also has a few Group Companies which include Tokai Imperial Rubber India Pvt Ltd, SJ Industries, Imperial Martor Engine Tubes Pvt Ltd, and IAI Joinflex Pvt Ltd. IAI has been awarded innumerable number of awards by various customers. The companies are all TS 16949 and ISO 14001 certified. Their Infrastructure is divided into various segments: Machinery and In- Process Equipments, Testing Equipments, Electroplating, and Furnace Brazing, to name a few. The Department of Heavy Industries (DHI), the implementing ministry for the plan, is expected to shortly detail the eligibility criteria to identify ‘scalable champions’ on the metrics of turnover, exports, and growth history. Companies meeting the criteria will be eligible for incentives intended to boost local factory output and exports, said a senior industry executive.

Mysuru likely to get over Rs 4,000 crores investment in various sectors

After announcement of new industrial policy, three companies have shown interest in investing over Rs 2,000 crore in Mysuru district. Among them is an auto part company while another is a pharma company which sought more land to expand its unit in Nanjangud. Another company involved in packaged drinking water has also shown interest to invest in Mysuru. These new investments are in addition to another Rs 2,000 crore investment proposed by a multinational smartphone/ electronics product manufacturer taking the total investment to over Rs 4,000 crore in the district.
