Wheels India Limited was established in the year 1962. The company is promoted by the TVS Group which is the largest auto components manufacturer in the country. Wheels India is one of the largest steel wheel manufacturers in the world. They also manufacture air suspension kits for trucks and buses. They started their production of wheels in 1962 at their first plant in Chennai. They started their production of car and tractor wheels in 1965. They opened their second facility in Rampur for tractor wheels. They entered the wire wheel business in 1988 and they also indulged in the air suspension market under the brand "WILRIDE". The company opened a facility in Pune to deal with the automotive growing hub. The Pune facility manufactures wheels for car, trucks and busses. The company started manufacturing forged aluminium wheels in the year 2005 to deliver to the growing after market for truck and trailer manufactures. The company set up two new facilities at Sriperumbudur and Bawal. The company also set up a new facility at Pantnagar for catering the growth of truck and light commercial vehicle business. The company is a proud partner to a numerous global OEMs that include Ford, Hyundai, John Deere, Leyland and Suzuki. The company has won a number of awards that is a proof that the company believes in its policy "Quality First". To name a few of the awards, CAT SQEP Silver Certification 2010, TPM Award and Certification, Toyota Supplier Award for Quality and Cost (2009) and Regional Contribution Award from Toyota in the year 2013 Global Suppliers Convention. The company has faith that its future is in their partnering OEMs and their growth and providing service to match. The company provides Heavy vehicle wheels for Trucks, Buses, Light Commercial Vehicles, Trailers, Tippers and many more. Energy equipment parts division is involved in manufacturing components for energy equipment that includes Wined Turbines and machined components for various other application. The Heavy Engineering Division manufactures auto structural that includes beams, boxes and columns auto welded and manually welded from plates and rolled sections. These are taken into consideration to meet the desired requirements of the customers.

China’s Dao EV Tech to produce 2Ws in India, plans export to America, Europe

The Chinese EV maker, formed by a group of investors from China, India and USA, opened bookings for its electric scooters in India on Thursday. Deliveries are scheduled for mid-January. After subsidies the scooter will cost INR 86,000 . The company plans to make India an export base and it will launch at least two new models every year, the company said.

EEPC plans chapters in tier II & III cities to boost engineering exports

The Engineering Export Promotion Council of India has decided to go deep in tier-II and III cities to encourage firms in the smaller towns to join the global value chain and production networks. India’s oil demand to rise 50% by 2030 against global expansion of 7%: Report

India’s oil consumption is forecast to rise from 4.8 million barrels per day (mbd) in 2019 to 7.2 mbd in 2030 and 9.2 mbd in 2050, as per the IEA’s key scenario based on stated policies. The projection shows the centrality of oil in the Indian economy over the next three decades and runs counter to BP’s forecast last year that estimated the country’s oil demand to peak in 2025.
