Volvo plans to expand certified used-car business pan-India by early 2024

Malhotra estimates that the company could close the year (2022) at around 1,900-2,000 cars which, in his view, will be a "decent growth" considering the supply-chain constraints. Volvo has planned to go all-electric by 2030 in a phased manner. As part of this, Volvo Car India has already transitioned its India lineup to complete petrol mild-hybrids this month.

Government to replace up to 30,000 old buses in electrification drive

Acharya said while this asset-light model has made it possible for ailing STUs to deploy affordably and at scale, challenges do remain regarding availability of adequate power supply at depots for charging buses proposed for induction. State governments would have to invest in upgrading grids to ensure adequate load for charging electric vehicles.

Vedanta clarifies semiconductor manufacturing to be done by holding company Volcan

India’s real GDP growth will slow from 8.3% in 2021 to 7.7% in 2022 and will decelerate further to 5.2% in 2023, Moody's Investor Service said in a report on Thursday. Rising interest rates, uneven distribution of monsoons, and slowing global growth will dampen economic momentum on a sequential basis, it said.
