Renault Kwid Review
The Kwid is Renault's entry-level compact hatchback. The Kwid competes with Maruti Suzuki Alto, Datsun Go and Hyundai Eon in the compact hatch segment. The SUV-inspired looks, spacious cabin, practicality and world class equipment make it the car you want to buy. Dimensionally it is a hatch but design wise it gives the feel of an SUV.
EXTERIOR
The front fascia of the Kwid features a dark chain like grille holding the Renault logo, headlamps with chrome detailing (inside). The windshield in inclined and the bonnet features multiple horizontal lines.
The side profile looks elegant with the shoulder line running from the front fender straight to the tail-lamp housing at the rear. The tailgate is wide, which makes the rear look impressive.
INTERIOR
The Kwid has a spacious cabin. The top variant gets a 7-inch touch screen with Media-Navigation system, an advanced instrument cluster, remote keyless passage with central locking, front lights as standard and one-touch path change indicator. It is even equipped with 2 huge glove boxes and large door pockets. The central touchscreen infotainment system and digital speedometer adds to the attractions.
There is adequate room in the rear row for two average sized adults. The seats are comfortable despite being single-pieced. The boot is quite big, great for storing luggage for a weekend getaway.

The hydraulics are smooth, overall NVH levels seem improved, better mileage, and the Kwid gives a comfortable ride experience Mac Pherson Strut suspension in the front an twist beam coil spring at the rear. It has tubeless tyres with disc brakes in front and drum brakes at the back.
CONCLUSION
Although the Kwid does not offer ABS with EBD in any of the variants, the NVH levels do bother you a little, and the steering wheel cannot be adjusted; the vehicle has a lot going for it due to its SUV-inspired looks, spacious cabin, practicality, fuel efficient and it is the best hatch for a medium sized family.
